Flower Power Bloom in Death Valley is the Real Deal!

The hype over the Death Valley National Park "once in a decade" desert wild flower bloom is worthy.  I just got back today and the flowers are really going off.  Unfortunately so are the crowds at the park....  It felt like Yosemite in summer.  The best blooms seemed to be just north of Badwater.  There are blooms forming nicely just north of Furnace Creek on the way to the springs but they are more "spread out" than the flowers north of Badwater.  Checkout my "Death Valley" Gallery in landscapes for the photos.
